Description
In 2022, I had to have my dog Sport put to sleep because of health issues.
As always, we went to our local shelter to BROWSE. Anyway, there was this guy that seemed to be interested in us. We went to the room for our introduction and that's all she wrote. This guy almost crawled into my husband's lap... signed the papers, made the payment - but he was an intact male. Had to wait for the surgery to be completed BUT there was a issue. One of his testicles had not descended. Longer wait.
Eventually we got to pick him up.
Now, here's the sad part. Never in my life had I ever seen a dog with such sad eyes. I surmised that his former owner may have died, and he seemed lost.
After about 6 weeks he began to come around. Now he loves us with all his heart and hates it when we have to leave.
When we come home, we get hollered at! But that's my Toby!
