Artist's Description
This is my Dad's Mom.. during her marriage she had 3 children - 2 sons and a daughter. The youngest son served in the Navy but the oldest - my Dad - was in the Army Air Corps. His plane was shot down and the crew was captured. It took the German government 6 months to let the family at home know that he was still alive. This picture must sum up her feelings.

Every time something was in the "bread" he would warn them not to eat it. He's probably one of the reasons my Dad came home and we got Christmas cards from him until the day he passed.
One other thing - both of my sons joined the Navy and were involved in the Gulf War. They both came home.

Getting old sucks, just so you know. 07-30-2023 Back in May - after Sport was put to sleep - we finally decided to go to the local shelter to see if we could find a new love. We noticed this guy that was just lying in his cage, so we decided to take a...
